Around 1:40 a.m. Sunday morning, a reported stolen vehicle was spotted by officers, driving in the area of 37th Street West and Avenue F North.
A police news release says the Air Support Unit monitored from the air as Patrol officers successfully deployed a tire deflation device.
The vehicle continued southbound on Vancouver Avenue, then the driver got out and fled on foot.
A short distance later, police arrested a 25-year-old woman who is facing charges related to dangerous driving, evading police, vehicle theft and possession of meth.
The Air Support Unit then directed Patrol officers to two people running towards Vancouver Avenue.
They were located and searched and police say a loaded firearm was seized.
Although in the same area, the two incidents weren’t related.
A 41-year-old-man is facing numerous firearms and weapons charges and a 35-year-old woman is facing charges related to possession of fentanyl and breaching court ordered conditions.
