Around 3:45 p.m. Thursday Prince Albert RCMP received a report that a person driving in an SUV, going northbound on Highway #11, was possibly pointing a firearm at another vehicle. No one was injured.
Officers located a suspect vehicle and tried to pull it over, but it sped off, evading police multiple times. RCMP officers located the vehicle abandoned in a treed area south of Macdowall, east of Highway #11. Initial investigation has determined at least one person in the vehicle fled on foot and their current whereabouts are unknown. There is no suspect description, and a firearm has not been located.

RCMP officers continue to actively search the area on the north side of the South Saskatchewan River. The public can expect an increased police presence in the area due to this ongoing investigation.
