Those who booked flights with WestJet this long weekend will be disappointed to learn their flight has most likely been cancelled.
On top of yesterday’s cancellation list of over 150 flights, the air carrier has announced additional cancellations, now totaling 407.
This is reported to have affected more than 49-thousand passengers.
The Calgary-based company blames at the Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association, the union that represents over 680 aircraft mechanics and tech ops, who began strike action on Friday.
The A-M-F-A says they had no choice when faced with WestJet’s unwillingness to negotiate a deal.
