Battlefords RCMP say a man was robbed by a group of people armed with machetes and a gun.

It happened last Friday afternoon at 3:15 p.m. on 107th Street in North Battleford.

RCMP say a man was walking when a grey SUV pulled up and the group of armed individuals wearing black face masks got out and pointed a gun demanding the man’s wallet. The victim did not report physical injuries to police.

RCMP say a 17-year-old North Battleford male was charged in relation to the robbery although he was taken into custody in an unrelated call for service. His name cannot be released as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The robbery remains under investigation.
