A Monday morning assault in the Riversdale neighbourhood has resulted in the arrest of 28-year-old woman and charges laid against her.
A Saskatoon Police Service news release says officers responded to a call at about 10:30 a.m. on July 15 to an assault in progress at 20th Street West and Avenue E South. Further details received by police said a female had been assaulted with a bat and the suspect had fled the scene. Officers located the victim suffering from what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries as she refused further medical attention. Shortly afterwards, police located and arrested the suspect a short distance away. A 28-year-old woman faces charges related to assault with a weapon and obstructing police.
