The 2024 Saskatchewan Summer Games continue today and run through Saturday in Lloydminster. More than 18-hundred athletes, coaches and officials will take part in the multi-sport event. Athletes will represent the nine Sport, Culture and Recreation Districts from across the province, competing in 14 different sports. The second half sports being contested today through Saturday are athletics, baseball, basketball, beach volleyball, soccer and triathlon.

On the golf courses…
The Canadian Junior Women’s Golf Championship continues and winds up today in Vancouver. The four-day, 72-hole event is into the fourth and final round today. The lone Saskatchewan competitor who made the 36-hole cut is Ella Kozak of Yorkton.
The Golf Saskatchewan Provincial Senior Women, 60-plus Women, Senior Men’s and Mid-Master Men’s Championships continues and wraps up today at the Evergreen Golf Course in Nipawin. A total of 124 competitors are taking part with today being the third and final of three rounds for 54 holes total.

The Canadian Junior National Ball Hockey Championships continue today and run through Saturday at the Henk Ruys Soccer Centre and Merlis Belsher Place. There are female and male divisions ranging from Under-15 to Under-23 taking part. Action at both venues starts at 9 a.m. and goes all day with the final game at both venues beginning at 8:05 p.m.
