Registration for Moose Jaw’s Trespass Prevention Program has been expanded to all commercial properties and businesses in the city.
That means the commercial properties and businesses that were previously outside the set perimeter can now register through the Moose Jaw Police Service website.
The Police Service states in a news release that the program allows police officers to remove Trespass to Property Act violators from commercial properties and adds that it’s a program that other police agencies have implemented, and it has proven successful.
When businesses register, a decal is installed on the front and back entrances, which allows officers to act as the owner/agent of the property and enforce the Trespass to Property Act.
