A third person has been charged in connection to the Saskatoon Police investigation into the death of a 25-year-old Alberta man on February 3rd. Officers responded to a home in the 600 block of Lisgar Avenue after a report of an aggravated assault involving firearms. While executing a search warrant, an officer shot their firearm, hitting a 34-year-old man, who was transported to hospital in stable condition. The 25-year-old Alberta man was found dead in the home.
A 34-year-old man and 32-year-old woman were charged with first-degree murder and later also charged with indecently interfering with and offering an indignity to human remains. Now, police say on Wednesday investigators attended a correctional facility in Saskatoon and arrested a 32-year-old man, who was in custody on unrelated charges. He is believed to have known the victim.
