Mental Health and Addictions Minister Tim McLeoud announced funding this week to expand programming at the BridgePoint Center for Eating Disorder Recovery in Milden.
The $215,000 increase will go towards the virtual care program. It’s the only program of its kind.
The Minister days expanding the program will make Bridgepoint’s services more accessible. The programs are designed to help people recover from eating disorders. Bridgepoint has eight residential spaces offer 24/7 support, while three spaces are devoted to a hybrid of virtual/in-person programming.
Total funding annually from the government will now total $815,000.
