Six single-parent families in La Laloche were welcomed into their new homes on Tuesday.

The housing units are in three semi-detached buildings. The families will also receive mentorship and support from Methy Housing Corporation support workers.

Multiple partners were involved in the project including the Saskatchewan Housing Corporation, the federal government and the Northern Village of La Loche.

The Methy Housing Corporation is a non-profit organization that owns and operates affordable housing units in the northern community.
