With help from the Saskatoon Police Air Support Unit, a woman has been arrested in connection to an investigation into a stabbing early Saturday morning. A news release from Saskatoon Police Service, says officers were called to the 2200 block of 22nd Street West around 2:40 that morning and found a 23-year-old man suffering from what was initially believed to be a life-threatening injury. He was taken to hospital where his injuries were determined to be not life threatening. Police were told the suspects were female and they took off eastbound from 22nd Street. The police plane helped in locating the suspects a couple of blocks away, and a 28-year-old woman is facing charges related to aggravated assault, possession of a weapon and concealing a weapon.
A 15-year-old boy has been charged in connection to a stabbing investigation. Saskatoon Police responded just before 1:30 Monday morning to the 3000 block of Diefenbaker Drive about a confrontation involving a knife. Police say when officers arrived, a teen matching the description of the suspect was found and after a short foot chase, he was arrested, and a knife was found. Officers then found a female victim suffering from what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries consistent with a stab wound. She was transported to hospital and the 15-year-old boy is facing possession of a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, robbery and breach of court ordered conditions charges.
Saskatoon Police responded Monday morning just after 4, to a report of a man at the side of building with a firearm in the 1400 block of Avenue M South. A news release from the Police Service says officers spoke with two witnesses who gave a description of the suspect and then they began searching the area. He was found in a vehicle. A high-risk vehicle stop was conducted, and the suspect was taken into custody. Police say after arriving at police detention he began to damage police property. A 32-year-old is facing charges related to carrying a weapon, concealing a weapon, mischief under $5,000, breaching a conditional sentence order and breaching a probation order.
A 38-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connected to the Saskatoon Police investigation into the assault of a 14-year-old boy. A news release from the Saskatoon Police Service says Monday afternoon just before 2:30, officers responded to the 2600 block of Avenue H North and found an injured boy. The suspect was located and arrested at a home in the 1500 block of Avenue F North. It is believed the two are known to each other. Charges for the 38-year-old include assault, uttering threats and failing to comply with court ordered conditions.
