A Fort Qu’Appelle man has won $2 million on a 20X Supreme Scratch and Win ticket. Dan Lupichuk says he has been going to Buffalo Crossing Convenience for years because of the friendship he has forged with the staff, and he regularly buys whatever lottery ticket looks enticing.
Lupichuk already knows what he will do with the winnings. He says, “My first thought was that we could go overseas and find specialized medical care for my wife. If my wife weren’t unwell, I’d have a different reaction. The trips and big purchases are secondary for me right now.”
Sask Lotteries says in a news release that through an agreement with the Government of Saskatchewan, lottery sales are used to provide more than $1.4 billion to support athletes from the grassroots level to the international stage, connect youth to artistic experiences and help residents experience the beauty of parks all over the province.
