Three people have been arrested and charged and another is wanted by the Prince Albert Police Service from an investigation into an exchange of gunfire on July 17th. Officers were called just before 10:30 that night to the 300 block of 9th Avenue East and were told shots had been fired between a vehicle and a home in the area. Investigators found evidence of gun shots being fired at the home and it was confirmed no one inside had been injured.
Minutes later, police were told a female had arrived at the Victoria Hospital with a gunshot wound, considered non-life threatening. Police spoke to her and then located and seized a vehicle involved in the incident.
Twenty-two-year-old Jelena Lafluer, 30-year-old Tyler Keenatch and 28-year-old Prosper Daignault were arrested and are also facing firearm-related charges. Daignault is also charged with aggravated assault. Warrants have been issued for 38-year-old Justin Morin, charged with assisting with an escape knowing a firearm was recklessly discharged and being in a vehicle with a prohibited or restricted firearm. The investigation is ongoing.
