According to Insightrix polling from July, 47 per cent of decided voters for the provincial election would choose the Saskatchewan Party and 48 per cent would vote for the NDP. Twenty-eight per cent of those polled are undecided. Looking deeper into demographics, of those decided voters for the Sask. Party, 55 per cent are male and 38 per cent female. For the NDP, 57 per cent are female and 40 per cent male.
The highest majority of younger voters at 61 per cent would vote for the NDP and 34 per cent for the Sask. Party. For 35- to 54-year-olds, it’s a tie at 48 per cent each and for those in the 55 and older age group, 55 per cent of decided voters would vote for the governing party and 39 per cent for the Official Opposition
The two largest cities have the largest percentage of decided voters for the NDP at 61 per cent in Regina and 64 per cent in Saskatoon. The Saskatchewan Party has the largest percentage of votes in the north at 61 per cent and 57 per cent in the south. The top three issues overall are healthcare, followed by inflation and rising costs, then the economy and jobs.
