The final day of the 139th annual Saskatoon EX saw 38,187 people go through the gates. Prairieland’s Director of Signature Events, Funmi Oyatogun, says cooler temperatures earlier in the week contributed to smaller crowds but Sunday’s warm-weather forecast, and the promise of the fan-favourite demolition derby enticed families for the final day of the fair. In total over the six days of the EX, 204,991 people attended.
Oyatogun adds that security measures introduced last year were improved upon this year. Everyone went through a walk-through scanner at the gate, and to speed things up, there was a ‘no bag lane’ added this year.
