The City of Saskatoon is looking for input on property tax payment options moving into a reassessment year in 2025. City Assessor, Bryce Trew, says reassessments are done every four years so they like to let property owners know ahead of time what is coming.
The survey which is online through the end of the month looks at three different payment options. A two-year phase-in would mean you would be paying the full amount, whether an increase of decrease, by the second year or you could do a four-year phase in with a more gradual increase or decrease each year. You could also opt to pay the full amount from year one. A four-year phase-in would work best for those expecting an increase.
After public engagement, Trew says one of the options will be chosen for residential properties and for businesses and commercial entities. Click on the link to take the survey.
