A 13-year-old boy is facing charges in connection to a robbery Tuesday afternoon. Saskatoon Police report that officers responded just before 3 p.m. Tuesday to a robbery in progress at a store in the 2900 block of 8th Street East and were told one of the two boys had a knife. A youth was located and arrested, and police say a prohibited knife was found when he was searched along with alcohol believed to be from the store.
The second suspect wasn’t found, but a passerby said he had dropped a backpack, which police located and found items inside believed to be from the store. A 13-year-old boy is charged with robbery and possessing a prohibited weapon. He also had outstanding warrants and made his first court appearance Wednesday morning.
