The Saskatoon Police Service says two people and a dog were shot with either pellets or BBs Tuesday night.
Around 9:30 p.m. police responded to the 1100 block of Avenue B North after a man reported he’d been possibly shot. Officers located the victim who had injuries to his face and hand. Bystanders told the officers the suspect was armed with a firearm and had fled the scene, but police tracked down two people shortly after who were suspected of being involved.
Their investigation led them to another victim. The suspects are believed to have approached the victims demanding their property before a confrontation ensued and an imitation firearm was discharged at both victims and their dog.
As a result, an 18-year-old male has been charged with multiple firearms related charges, committing pain to an animal, and breaching a release order. A 16-year-old male was also charged with assault causing bodily harm, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and failing to comply with court orders. The firearm was a CO2 gun. Both victims and their dog sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
