More people are commuting to work.

Statistics Canada puts the number at 16.5 million in May, or 585,000 more than the previous year.

The proportion of employed Canadians mostly working from home has fallen since May 2021—-but still remains more than twice as high as it was before the COVID pandemic

Saskatchewan has the lowest share of employees mostly working from home at only 10.1 percent. Of those travelling to work in our province, 91.3 per cent drive cars, trucks, SUV’s or vans, 3.2 per cent use public transit and 4.4 per cent walk.

The vast majority of Canadians—89.5 per cent—drive to work alone.  The majority of car pooling is done in Ontario, BC and Quebec.
