The Saskatoon Police Service says a 34-year-old man is facing numerous charges after being found in possession of a firearm Friday afternoon, Just before 5 that afternoon, officers noticed a wanted male sitting on a bike in the 900 block of 22nd Street West and attempted to arrest him, but he took off. He was later arrested in an alley north of 22nd Street.
A backpack was found which police say the man had discarded, and in it was a loaded gun. Hie is facing several firearms charges and a charge of possession of a controlled substance, which was meth.
