An early Sunday morning incident, involving a pair of 17-year-old males who were known to each other, resulted in one of the men being stabbed and the other arrested in relation to an assault.
According to a Saskatoon Police Service news release, officers responded to an injured person call at about 6:40 a.m. on September 8th to the 800 block of Idylwyld Drive North. Paramedics were already on the scene, treating the stabbing victim, when officers arrived. Police later located and arrested the suspect, a 17-year-old man from Sandy Bay who is facing charges relating to assault and possession of a weapon. The victim was transported to hospital with what were believed to be serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
