Police are attempting to determine the identity of a female cyclist killed in a collision with a vehicle at Avenue K North and 22nd Street West.

Officers were called to the scene just before nine when they found the female cyclist lying injured on the ground. She died later in hospital.

Police believe the vehicle was travelling in the far-right westbound lane of 22nd Street and the cyclist was travelling eastbound in the westbound lane of 22nd at the time of the collision.

The police news release did not provide any information about the driver of the vehicle.
