Dakota Dunes Community Development Corporation has gifted the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation $275,000 to enhance maternal health care through the Corporation’s Cares for All project.
A joint news release from the two organizations says this contribution will ensure Saskatchewan First Nations and non-First Nations expectant mothers and newborns continue to have access to state-of-the-art maternal critical care equipment and culturally appropriate supplies that honour and respect patients like smudging supplies, moss bags and belly button pouches. President and CEO of the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation, Brynn Boback-Lane, says the goal is to build a future together where every mother and child in the province can feel safe, supported and cared for in the most meaningful way.
