An 18-year-old man was arrested on Saturday in connection to two separate bear spray incidents. Around 5:50 p.m. Saturday, Saskatoon Police were called to the 200 block of 1st Avenue South about an injured person, and were told someone had bear sprayed numerous people and then fled before police arrived, but the officers were able to review video surveillance.
About an hour later, police responded to the intersection of Preston Avenue North and 108th Street West for another injured person, and this time officers were told a male had sprayed a Transit bus and then took off. He was arrested in a field along 18th Street West and police report that a can of bear spray was recovered. The 18-year-old is facing three counts of assault with a weapon, two counts each of possession of a weapon and mischief, and failing to comply with court ordered conditions.
