A news release from the provincial government says Saskatchewan remains the most affordable province in the country, citing the Consumer Price Index which rose by only 1.1 per cent in August compared to August of last year. That’s the lowest year-over-year- inflation increase among the provinces and below the national average of 2 per cent.
As the provincial election draws nearer, either on or before October 28th, the government adds that low unemployment rates, utility rates and a range of income and affordable housing programs keeps the cost of living among the lowest in the nation.
