A man wanted by RCMP in two separate robbery investigations, one from a farm in the RM of Spalding and the other in connection to an armed robbery of a business in Wadena, now has more charges. The Saskatchewan RCMP Warrant Enforcement and Suppression Team is looking for 34-year-old Joseph “Joey” Desjarlais in relation to a robbery Sunday morning around 2 at a business in Yorkton.
Investigators were told a man entered the business, threatened an employee with a firearm, then stole cash, cigarettes and the keys to the employee’s vehicle, which he then took off in. Along with the 14 charges from the two previous investigations, the RCMP has charged Desjarlais with robbery with a firearm, vehicle theft, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and three counts of possession of a weapon contrary to an order.
The Fishing Lake First Nation man is described as approximately 5’7″ tall and 130 lbs. He has brown eyes, short brown hair, and a short beard. He has tattoos of the words ‘public’ and ‘enemy’ with flames on his hands, and ‘Bonnie and Clyde’ tattooed on the right side of his neck. If you see him, the RCMP advise not to approach him and instead contact the police.

Melfort RCMP are looking for a man in connection to the investigation of an armed robbery at a farm home in the RM of Spalding Monday morning. Officers responded around 10:30 that morning and were told two men entered the home with firearms, wearing masks and pointed the firearms at two people inside. It’s alleged they stole two firearms and electronics and then took off. No one was physically injured.
The suspect vehicle was found on Fishing Lake Fist Nation and a traffic stop was conducted. The driver was arrested at the scene and three firearms were seized from the vehicle, including the two that were stolen. It turns out the vehicle had previously been reported stolen out of Humboldt.
Twenty-three-year-old Bohdey Bussiere of Spalding is charged with three counts of possession of property obtained by crime and one count of unlawful possession of a firearm. He appears in Melfort Provincial Court on Thursday.
