RCMP are investigating the death of a 32-year-old woman on the Okanese First Nation, about 120 kilometres northeast of Regina.

Amanda Keewatin from the Peepeekisis Cree Nation was declared dead at the scene by paramedics early Tuesday morning.

Thirty-nine-year old James Stonechild of the Okanese First Nation has been charged with second degree murder.
