The Saskatoon Police Service says its drug unit wrapped up a dial-a-dope investigation by seizing almost $50,000 in cash.
Shortly before 6:00 p.m. last Wednesday investigators executed a search warrant on a vehicle and a home in the 1200 block of Kingsmere Boulevard.
In addition to the $48,795 in cash, they also seized 21.92 grams of powdered and crack cocaine packaged for street level sales, 39 controlled prescription pills including Dilaudid, Percocet and Concerta, two imitation firearms and assorted drug paraphernalia.
A 19-year-old man is facing a variety of drug charges and possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000 while a 28-year-old man faces a charge of possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000, possession of a controlled substance and obstructing a peace officer.
