The Prince Albert Police Service has charged a suspect in connection with two separate armed robbery incidents that occurred this past Saturday.
AT 10:40 p.m. Saturday night a lone male suspect, reportedly armed with a machete, entered a store in the 400 block of 15th Street East, demanded money from the till and then fled with cash.
In another incident an hour later police responded to a business in the 200 block of 15th Street West where staff reported that three suspects, two males and one female, come into the business with a machete and knives. The fled before police arrived and a staff member suffered a minor injury during the incident. A canine track did not locate the suspects.
Just under an hour later, shortly before 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, police were called to the same business where two male suspects had returned. A suspect was arrested in the vicinity.
Police identified the suspect as being connected to both robberies consequently 20-year-old Blake Hunt appeared in provincial court on Monday to face multiple charges which include two counts of Robbery while armed with an offensive weapon, Assault with a weapon, Uttering Threats, and Failure to comply with a Release Order.
Police are still seeking additional suspects in connection to the second incident. The male suspect was described as wearing dark clothes and a grey hat while the female suspect was wearing a black sleeveless top (crop top), light-colored joggers, white Air Jordan shoes, and a black jacket around her waist.
