A new, collaborative mural with the theme of pride is now up on an exterior wall of the Prince Albert Public Library.
The creation of the mural is supported by the City of Prince Albert through the Municipal Cultural Action Plan, Sask Culture, and funded by the Sask Lotteries Trust Fund for Sport, Culture and recreation.
The City’s Arts & Culture Coordinator, Tia Furstenberg, says one of the goals was to visualize what pride in Prince Albert looks like.
This past summer, people were asked to submit photos that emphasize the strong connections that unite the city’s Indigenous roots, the diversity of the community and the relationship with the land.
Then, two artists, Alex Powalinsky and Lisa Halsall put the photos together in a collage.
