Charges have been laid in connection to a Saskatoon Police investigation into a bear spray incident Sunday morning. Officers responded just before 1 in the morning to a business in the 60 block of 24th Street East and were told bear spray had been discharges and the suspects had fled. When they arrived, they found several people who had been exposed to the effects of bear spray.
The suspect vehicle was found shortly afterwards, and a high-risk traffic stop was conducted at 20th Street and 4th Avenue. Two women were arrested, and police say two canisters of bear spray were seized from inside the vehicle. The women, 23 and 24-years-old are facing charges related to mischief over $5,000 and possession of a weapon.
