A 29-year-old woman is facing aggravated assault charges while the Saskatoon Police Service continues to investigate a Monday afternoon incident north of the downtown area.
A news release said that, at about 1:10 p.m. Monday, officers received a report of an injured person in the 800 block of Idylwyld Drive North. Officers found a 27-year-old woman suffering from injuries consistent with a stab wound upon their arrival at the scene. Shortly after, police located the 29-year-old female suspect, who was suffering from what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. The victim was treated by paramedics and transported to hospital for further treatment. Further investigation revealed that there was an argument between the women that led to a physical altercation. Two other males were arrested as well.
