The City of Prince Albert says the postal strike has resulted in disruptions that require alternate arrangements.
Water bills in Prince Albert will not be distributed during the strike. The next bills will be posted December 9th and are due the first week of January. Water account holders are responsible for paying the bill on time or have to pay late penalties. Water bills can still be received by signing up for e-billing or going to City Hall to pick up the bill. As well you can get your account balance by calling City Hall.
Cheque Payments for vendors not on Electronic Fund Transfers (EFT) will be contacted to arrange to pick up payments or apply for EFT. The City will still send legislated and legal correspondence via courier or hand delivered. Non-priority mail will be postponed until regular mail service resumes.
To pay your bills on time the City of Prince Albert can be set up as a payment vendor with all major banking institutions. After-hours payments will continue to be accepted by the secure 24-hour drop box located on the west side of City Hall.
