A 33-year-old man was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon after a Sunday morning incident in Saskatoon’s west end.
A Saskatoon Police Service news release said that officers received a report of a domestic disturbance in progress, with a woman injured, at about 7 a.m. on November 24 in the 500 block of Avenue S South. Police located the victim as she was being treated by paramedics. Officers were able to ascertain that the male suspect had cut the woman twice and punched another male before fleeing the scene. The man was located in the 300 block of Avenue S South shortly after and arrested without incident. The male suspect was also found to be breaching his court-ordered conditions.
