Budget deliberations have led to a 4.96 per cent increase for property tax in 2025 which is down from the initially projected 5.2 per cent.
For homeowners whose property is valued at $344,000 that will mean an increase on your property tax bill of $9.14 a month.
Heading into the second day of budget deliberations the Greater Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce CEO was urging City Council to remain disciplined and resist the urge to “tack on any new big-ticket initiatives at this juncture” noting that full budget deliberations will come soon enough.
Jason Aebig praised City Council on X for working hard to reduce the forecasted property tax rate for 2025 to 4.96 per cent.
