Ethan McCallum (pictured) has yet to win a game in four starts in goal for the Saskatoon Blades since he was acquired in late October from Medicine Hat, but he was the least of the Bridge City Bunch’s problems in Wednesday night’s 2-1 loss in Lethbridge.

The 18-year-old netminder stopped 36 of 38 shots, but the Blue and Gold only managed 18 shots on Jackson Unger in the Hurricanes’ crease as the Blades are now winless in four games. All of the game’s scoring came in the second period when Miguel Marques scored short-handed for the 15-10-2 Canes while rookie Chase Peterson’s first W-H-L goal turned out to be the game winner. Captain Ben Saunderson scored the lone goal for Saskatoon, now 17-8-4 for the season and 0-2-2 in their last four outings. The Bridge City Bunch have two games remaining before a 12-day Christmas break – a Friday visit to Regina and a Sunday later afternoon home contest against Brandon at SaskTel Centre.
