Jon Hromek announced his decision to step down from the leadership in a New Year’s Eve news release.
Hromek was the leader of the right-leaning party for only eight months after taking over the party leadership from Nadine Wilson. The Saskatchewan United Party failed to win a seat in the October 26th provincial election.
Hromek says his decision “was not made lightly.”
The news release gave no indication on the process for selecting a new leader or when that might occur.
