Troy Davies has officially begun a new job this past week.
Director of Public Affairs at Medavie Health Services West says it is tough to leave the paramedic profession at a time when it is doing so well and moving forward.
“30 years in EMS and paramedics in my mind are some of the best people in the world and it’s tough to leave the profession because I think it’s doing so well and it’s moving forward in a way that, not just the traditional transporting patients to hospital.
But he points out that in his new role, as the CEO of the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation, he will continue to raise money for the children’s hospital which has been one of his passions for 15 years, outside of his work with Medavie. He will also continue in his role as a City Councillor for Ward 4.
He takes over from Brynn Boback-Lane who announced her retirement last year.
