The City of Saskatoon says thanks to well-managed finances, Saskatoon has again achieved a AAA credit rating from S&P Global Ratings.
This is the city’s 23rd year maintaining the highest rating possible, alongside a ‘Stable’ outlook.
The report indicates that “Saskatoon’s budgetary performance will ensure a manageable debt burden amid large capital expenditures including Link (the Bus Rapid Transit system), infrastructure maintenance, and firehalls.
Saskatoon CFO Clae Hack says “The City is moving forward with significant projects, such as Link, that support the needs of a growing city. We are confident in our plans to deliver these projects in a fiscally responsible manner, and this is underpinned by S&P’s assessment.”
