Thursday Prime Minister Justin Trudeau launched the Council on Canada-U.S. Relations and among the members are some well-known western Canadians including Cameco’s Chief Executive Officer Tim Gitzel as well as former Alberta Premier Rachel Notley and Arlene Dickinson of the Dragon’s Den. There are 18 people who make up the Council comprised of leaders in business, innovation and policy who will support and advise the Prime Minister and Cabinet in the lead up to Donald Trump becoming president again. The government of Canada is organizing its response to threats of 25 per cent tariffs from the U.S. President Elect Donald Trump.
