A reported firearms call to the Saskatoon Police Service Tuesday night turned out to be false and has resulted in an arrest for public mischief.
An S-P-S news release says that, at about 5:30 p.m. on January 28, a woman reported a male with a firearm was threatening her inside an apartment in the 100 block of Shillington Crescent. Several patrol units responded, only to find out the woman had falsely made a report. A 22-year-old woman was taken into custody at the scene and was charged with public mischief.
