Family Service Saskatoon can now expand their supports to more people thanks to the funds raised during the recent Radiothon that took place over the last two days on 92.9 The Bull, 600 CJWW, and 98 Cool. The grand total of money raised on both Thursday and Friday was $91,768, up from last year’s earnings of $85,841.
Executive Director of the not-for-profit organization, Janine Baumann, says the money will be used to help those in the community who otherwise don’t have access to these counselling services.
“We are so incredibly pleased…It is such a grateful feeling we have to Saskatoon and Saskatchewan for providing donations.”
In 2023-24, over 3,783 people accessed services from Family Service Saskatoon, including individual and group counselling, services for youth, and domestic and intimate partner violence support.
Also, during that time, 497 children and 368 youth accessed services.
Client satisfaction services surveys indicate that 98 per cent of respondents would recommend Family Service Saskatoon to others.
