This month’s oil and gas public offering brought in just over $3 million, down eight million from the offering held in December.
On February 4th, the Estevan area generated the most revenue, generating $2.74 million for 16 leases totaling 1,684 hectares.
This public offering was the sixth and final event of the 2024-25 fiscal year, over which time the province has raised over $51.8 million.
A release from the Government of Saskatchewan addresses the significant discrepancy between the totals raised in December and February, stating that changes in oil and gas prices, land availability, geological and technological constraints and various market conditions can all affect public offering activity.
