An 18-year-old Lloydminster man has been arrested following an investigation into weapons trafficking.
On Thursday, Lloydminster RCMP officers and their police dogs executed a search warrant at a home on 49th Avenue.
As a result, they seized a shotgun and magazine, along with a small quantity of methamphetamine and unstamped tobacco.
Now, Zach Gayton is facing four charges and has ben remanded into custody. He is scheduled to appear in Saskatchewan Provincial Court in Lloydminster on February 19th.
The investigation continues, and the public is reminded not to post photos or videos of police investigations on social media in real time, as it can endanger officer and public safety, as well as compromise ongoing operations, and spread misinformation and panic.
