The Saskatoon Fire Department was called to a structure fire at 11:09am on Tuesday on the 200 block of Vancouver Avenue North.

One crew applied water to the interior of the building while another crew began a search to confirm that there was no one inside.

One person was transported to the hospital by the ambulance service. A news release from the fire department did not indicate the condition of the individual.

The blaze was brought under control and extinguished.  An investigator is attempting to determine what caused the fire.
