Premier Scott Moe announced on Tuesday that the spring session of the Legislature would begin March 19th with the introduction of the annual budget, but the Official Opposition wants to re-open as quickly as possible. NDP Leader Carla Beck says a plan is needed now to fight the tariffs, diversify the economy and protect Saskatchewan jobs. She suggests that by delaying the reopening, and shortening the session by two and a half weeks, the shortest in recent years, the Sask Party government is skirting accountability. Beck says the session will be the shortest the provincial government can legally call and pass a budget.
