A Saturday early evening report of a man with a knife led to two men being arrested for robbery as well as possession of a weapon.
A Saskatoon Police Service news release said officers were called to a parking lot in the 2300 block of 8th Street East at around 6:45 p.m. on February 22. The call said there was a man brandishing a knife and he was said to have entered a business prior to police arriving on the scene. Upon their arrival, officers found two men matching the suspect descriptions as they were leaving the business and both were arrested. A search of the two turned up a small knife and property believed to belong to the business. A 34-year-old man was charged with theft under five thousand dollars and breaching court-imposed conditions while a 39-year-old man was charged with theft under five thousand dollars, posession of a weapon dangerous to public peace and two counts of failure to comply with court-imposed conditions.
