Saskatchewan endured a three-week cold snap last month which saw the average monthly mean temperature end up as much as 7.4 degrees below normal.
The only thing that kept us from setting new records was a welcome warm spell over the final week of February. Environment Canada meteorologist Danielle Desjardin says if the final week of February was like the first three weeks, it would have been anywhere from the coldest to the third coldest February on record.

Precipitation was below normal in most parts of the CJWW listening area—the only exceptions were Yorkton, Regina and Moose Jaw which received between 15-20 centimetres of snow on February 5-6.
