It’s hard to imagine pruning your trees with all the snow on the ground but the pruning ban for elm trees goes into effect in a couple weeks.
Saskatchewan residents have until March 31st to prune elm on their property or delay pruning until early fall.
The pruning ban for elm trees is between April 1 and August 31.
Elm stumps, branches or any wood from an elm tree must be disposed of properly, not in a green bin and not used for firewood.
