An 18-year-old Regina man has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking following a traffic stop by a member of the Prince Albert Police Service Combined Traffic Services Saskatchewan.
Last Sunday morning around 11, the PACTSS member stopped a vehicle near the Gateway Mall in Prince Albert and approached the vehicle.
There were five people inside the vehicle. The officer determined two had outstanding warrants, leading to their arrests.
One of them was the Regina man, who police say was found in possession of a backpack which had a large amount of cocaine and cash inside. Nine ounces of suspected cocaine, over $8,000 cash, an iPhone and other items consistent with drug trafficking were seized. Eighteen-year-old Jason Henderson is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and breaching probation.
